ART PRESS 2 THE LOUVRE: ONE WORK, AND WHY (n°16, February 2010)
For this 16th number, art press 2 becomes established in the museum of Louvre. To rekindle an ancient love story between art press, seen again by contemporary art, and the ancient art, we asked 15 personalities to choose a work appearing in the collections of the prestigious museum, and to say to us in a text the reasons of their choice.

ARTISTS: WHAT DO THEY READ?
(n°14, August 2009)

HIDDEN IMAGES
(n°13, april 2009)

This issue of artpress2 is published to accompany the exhibition Une image peut en cacher une autre – Arcimboldo, Dalí, Raetz (April 8–July 6 2009), organized at the Grand Palais by Jean-Hubert Martin. The subject of this show is double images, anamorphoses, visual aberrations and other optical phenomena found throughout the history of art, from rock paintings to Vik Muniz, and, conspicuously, in the works of Arcimboldo, Salvador Dalí, Arcimboldo and Markus Raetz, all of whom feature prominently.

CONSERVING TECHNOLOGY-BASED ART: ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS
(n°12, January 2009)

Does the notion of an original artwork still mean anything when applied to a video installation for which the equipment is quickly outmoded and therefore regularly renewed? How does one “conserve” a work that circulates freely on Internet? And how does one “restore” a work conceived using now obsolete software? In this issue, produced in collaboration with Docam (Documentation and Conservation off the Media Arts Heritage), curators and museum directors, artists and art historians offer their experience and opinions in this challenging area.

LE FRESNOY : A DECADE OF CREATIVITY
(n°11, November 2008)

To celebrate the first ten years of Le Fresnoy – Studio National, and in parallel with the exhibition Dans la nuit des images (Grand Palais, Paris, December 18 to 31, 2008) featuring a selection of works produced there over the past decade, art press 2 is devoting an issue to this center for teaching and training directed by Alain Fleischer. Going back over the creation and development of Le Fresnoy, this issue presents a selection of visual and textual archives, a set of works and projects by both up-and-coming and established artists produced at Le Fresnoy.
